ATECH Training Center is pleased to announce that we have been welcomed as an Agency Partner by the CT Tech Act Program.
The Connecticut Tech Act Project was orginally established in 1992 with the main purpose of promoting systems change and raising awareness of Assistive Technology.
Since that time, the Connecticut Tech Act Project has focused on establishing programs throughout Connecticut aim to help individuals with disabilities learn about and have access to Assistive Technology. Programs inlcuded in the Tech Act Project inlcude low-interest Assistive Technology Loan Programs, and Connecticut’s Assistive Technology Lemon Law.
In order to remain in good standing, all AT Act Programs are required to establish and maintain four main State-level activities:
- Assistive Technology Demonstration
- Assistive Technology Device Loan Program
- Assistive Technology Reutilization Program (recycling)
- Alternate Financing Program
The Connecticut Tech Act Project has established these programs in many ways, one of which is by partnering with agencies in the community.
ATECH is proud to be added to this list of resource agencies providing AT services across the state and beyond.
